All Good (ALG) Social Housing Insurance is one of New Zealand’s few insurance policies developed specifically for Social and Community housing.


This policy addresses the gaps in the current “off the shelf” products that don’t fit the unique challenges of Social Housing Providers.

Landlord’s Obligations

There are obligations on the landlord or property manager to identify potential issues early. Most landlords would be doing this already:

  • External and internal inspection of the property at a minimum of 6 monthly intervals and at the change of every tenancy
  • Keep a written record of the outcome of each inspection


General Information

ALG Social Housing Insurance provides cover for full replacement of accidental damage, and includes extensions to cover that you would expect from an insurance policy of this type.

  • Full replacement up to the Sum Insured
  • Additional limit for post-loss inflation and sustainable rebuilding
  • Cover for landslip, subsidence and natural disaster
  • Gradual damage up to $5,000
  • Landscaping up to $20,000
